Night for the Cure 134/365

Tonight was Night for the Cure - an event held at Montverde Academy to support the American Cancer Society. The event is all night long and members of each team take turns walking the track which is surrounded by white luminaries in memory and in honor of those who have fought cancer. As the American Cancer Society says "because cancer never sleeps."

Here are some of the luminaries before they were lit up.











The student band did a great job keeping the crowds entertained!













The lighting of the luminaries was accompanied with a silent lap in honor of those who have lost their battle with cancer.

The students formed teams and raised money for the American Cancer Society throughout the night by selling food, drinks and goods. They had a great time doing it. 

Even our younger students had a great time!

They were gearing up for even more fun at and craziness as they night wore on - but it was all in good fun.







Congrats to all the students and a big thanks to the staff and faculty that worked so hard to make this a great event!

Today was also Yearbook day in the Lower School. I love how intently she is examining her book.
