51/365 Birthday Pie

It's Matt's birthday weekend and of course there has to be birthday pie! He loves pie and I've made him one for the past 5 years. This year was Cherry Lime and he loved it.

He loves it extra sweet :)

I'm not great at lattice work :(

But the end result seems to be fine.

He really enjoyed it - which was all I cared about.

50/365 Lower School PE

Yearbook time is fast approaching - so the scramble is on to get those missing pictures. Here are some of our Lower School students enjoying a PE class.

50/365 Cool School!

Our school recently won an online contest sponsored by our local Fox News website. So today a crew came out to do a live segment from the school featuring our kids! We were Fox 35's Cool School of the week!

The Lower School students went first.

Next up, the Middle School. They were looking great in their dress uniforms.

The sponsor of this segment handing out these yellow balloons - the kids had way too much fun with them.

The students selected to speak for the Middle School did a fantastic job, even though they were quite nervous.

There was even a special guest! Harlem Globetrotter Hot Shot Branch showed up and the crowd went wild!

He's a great guy and he took some time to teach our students some new moves

Finally it was time for the Upper School to get their moment in the sun.

Hot Shot met some members of our amazing team - quite a few of our guys were taller!

Montverde Academy is truly an international school. We have 43 countries represented in our student body, so a citizen from each country stood in a long line in front of the student body.

Then Hot Shot taught our team some new tricks.

Everyone did great!
