108/365 Celebrate Education with Marlee Matlin

Did a little garage sale hopping early today.

We finished the evening volunteering at Matt's school fundraiser. Marlee Matlin was the guest speaker and she was really amazing. Friendly, out-going, and a great spirit. She even allowed our pirates to place in her the stockades.

Good humored pirates

Our friend Trish and her students created this BEAUTIFUL glass mosaic tile for auction. It earned $400!

Watch this slideshow for more pictures of the event.

107/365 Cream Dill Biscuits

Tonight I made biscuits to go with dinner. I was using this recipe and I realize I didn't mix the dough thoroughly enough. But I just wasn't quite pleased with them. The dill was REALLY strong. I think next time I'll try this one

104/365

Today was a very windy day. We were under tornado watch for most of the day.

The Wonder Cat was trying to figure out the wind

The aloe plant was soaking up this rain

Our palm trees taking the brunt of the wind
