When we got there - we had an amazing check in experience. Rhonda was so kind and helpful - she upgraded us to an ocean front room with a king size bed. When she found out it was our anniversary - she also gifted us with a complimentary meal at Doc Bales' Grill.

Talk about an amazing welcome.
So we were off to our room.
This was the view and the first thing we did - hang out the balcony.
So as soon as we settled in - we were off to explore.

Then it was off to enjoy some time at the beach.
The view of our hotel from the beach. We were on the top floor 3 rooms in from the far right corner.
After enjoying the beach for a while, afternoon storms pushed us inside. No big deal - we got some wonderful views.
We also got some excellent views of pelicans flying right past our room.
After dinner, we walked around the hotel and the board walk. We saw this slingshot/bungee jumping/zero gravity thing - and all I can say is NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!
And finally, a view of the moon rising over the water.
