102/365 Garden update

My peas are starting to do something. I'm not sure what, but they are sending out these fine little green strands. Very cool!

81/365 Spring garden update

Spring is upon us and I'm ready to plant. The freezes are done, the frost is gone and the outside is calling me.

Here you can see one of my many plant shelves.

Garden update

Top shelf is a bunch of strawberry plants - shoots off the mother plant seen below.

All the way to the right edge is the large beige pot with mint.

The shelf below has a silver planter with oregano and parsley. I have a cheerful daisy next to it. Three aloe plants in front.

The round silver bucket contains oregano seeds and the egg crates are housing newly planted seeds.

Garden update

On the bottom shelf are two hydrangeas.

On the shelf above that one is a silver planter with chives and sage, the long flowing plant is cat nip, rosemary in the plastic container and the egg crates are housing newly planted seeds.

60/365 Spring is coming!

Spring is coming, even if we are still expecting freezing temps this week. My garden is ready - Mother Nature be darned.

I just love love love baby strawberries. They are so tiny, delicate - but determined. They just burst out into the world with all their hairy green goodness.

My avocados are starting to form real branches. For the last year they simply grew one trunk - straight up. Now they are budding off little happy branches!

The avocado is branching out!
